If you try to look inside your own ears, they may look clear and healthy with no sign of wax. But the wax can build up out of sight further inside your ear where a special instrument called an ‘otoscope’ is needed.
The audiologist will show you (if you want) what your ears look like using a video feed onto a computer. It’s completely painless and quite fun! When my audiologist did this to me I was shocked by what showed up!
